On July 28th, the entrepreneurial hub in New Orleans The Idea Village launched their annual Entrepreneur Season, which is action-packed with workshops, accelerator programs, networking events and cumulates with New Orleans Entrepreneur Week (NOEW) each spring.
The 6th annual IDEAx accelerator program (formerly IDEAxcelerator) has officially signed on investor Hank Torbert and serial entrepreneur J. Anthony Miguez as the Entrepreneurs-in-Residence for the season. The dynamic duo of advisory talent, with over 35 years of combined startup experience, will provide individualized coaching, intensive business consulting, and opportunities for peer learning to select local entrepreneurs.
Startups who want to apply for the highly competitive, 12-week accelerator can apply now through August 25th at 5:00 PM Central Time. The program will accept 10 companies and run from September 22nd through December 11th, 2014.
“The Idea Village supports entrepreneurs by engaging world-class talent to mentor founders during the critical startup phase,” said Tim Williamson, Co-founder and CEO of The Idea Village. “With unique and distinctive backgrounds, Hank and J. make a powerful combination for entrepreneurs seeking to start and scale a new venture in New Orleans.”
